Recap – Social Brothers at the Webwinkel Vakdagen 2023

Web retailers, e-commerce specialists, digital agencies and marketeers: on 29 and 30 March they were all present at the Jaarbeurs Utrecht for the Webshop Trade Days. This year with 14.000 visitors and we were there! Because: as Digital Advertising and Content Specialists at Social Brothers, we know better than anyone how important it is to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of e-commerce and digital marketing. 

It's been a month now - the perfect time to take a look back at what we've seen, learned and done! sneak peak? Many lectures, presentations, network conversations and stroopwafels. 

Email Marketing and AI

Important things first. A cup of coffee and a fresh – warm – stroopwafel (thanks, BOL.com). With new energy and a fresh sense in our first reading, we lined up. What do you think? Full! Learning moment #1: be at the venue well in advance. 

Fortunately, we had a second option ready: 'Email marketing and AI', which email marketing expert Jordie van Rijn from emailmonday took us through the latest techniques in the field of hyper-personalization in email and the possibilities of AI. 

In summary, during this lecture we learned everything about the application of generative personalization using AI in email marketing. Jordie explained to us how this technology goes far beyond traditional methods of personalization by generating individual content for each person in your database. The most important learnings? Generative personalization allows for higher audience engagement and a better user experience. 

The digital transformation of CASA

HOME, most people in the Netherlands are familiar with the - originally Belgian - interior shop. CASA's speaker, Karen Vanstaen, talked about the company's renewed strategy, which focuses on inspiration and the transformation from offline to online. The product range, store concept, marketing strategy and e-commerce strategy have all been revised and rolled out again in the eight countries in Europe where CASA is active. This session gave us a unique insight into the omnichannel challenges CASA has faced, how they solved them and of course how we can use these insights and techniques to help our customers even better.
